“Nikko Shrines and Temples” was registered as a World Heritage Site at the 23rd World Heritage Committee held in Marrakech, Morocco on December 2, 1999.

The contents of “Nikko Shrines and Temples” registered as a world heritage are “Buildings” of 103 buildings (9 national treasures, 94 important cultural properties) of Nikko Toshogu, Nikko Sanrokuoji, and Nikko Futarasan Shrine in Nikko Mountain. Lake Chuzenji

Lake Chuzenji, located at the entrance of Oku-Nikko, has a circumference of about 25 kilometers and a maximum depth of 163 meters. .. Due to the mild climate, it was a popular summer resort for foreigners from the Meiji era to the early Showa era. You can enjoy the expressions of the four seasons on the idyllic lakeside at the foot of Mt. Nantai, but the azaleas in early summer and the autumn leaves are especially spectacular. Mashiko Autumn Pottery Market [Mashiko City]

The annual “Mashiko Autumn Pottery Market” will be held from October 31st (Sat) to November 4th (Wednesday) in various parts of Mashiko Town, centering on the Jonaizaka and Saido districts.
The pottery market started in 1966 (Showa 41), and along with the spring pottery market, it is the largest event in Mashiko Town and is crowded with many people every year.
In addition to about 50 stores, about 500 tents are lined up, selling everything from traditional Mashiko ware to daily necessities such as cups and plates, and fine arts. At the tents, you can enjoy direct conversation with ceramic artists and potters. can do.

Nasu Ropeway

Follow the main street of Nasu Kogen, Nasu Kaido, pass Sesshoseki, and climb the Volcano Highway (former Nasu Kogen Toll Road) to reach Nasu Ropeway Sanroku Station. It takes about 4 minutes from here to the 9th station of Mt. Chausu. Below you can see the magnificent view of the Volcano Highway (formerly Nasukogen Toll Road) and Nasuno. It takes about 50 minutes on foot from the summit station to the summit of Mt. Chausu. If the weather is good, you can see Mt. Bandai, Nikko Mountain Range, Kanto Plain, Mt. Tsukuba, etc. from the top, and you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama.
