“Sandankyo” is a large canyon with a total length of about 16km in Aki Ota Town, the northwestern part of the prefecture.

The “Kurobuchi” and “Saruhi” surrounded by steep cliffs, the “Five Great Landscapes” of the super-unexplored waterfalls “Nidan Waterfall”, “Sandan Waterfall”, and “Mitsu Waterfall” are must-sees.

At Kurobuchi and Sarutobi, you can take a boat trip and enjoy the beauty of the gorge like the mountains in Guilin, China.

A variety of walking courses, from a 50-minute course to Kurobuchi that you can enjoy, to a 5-hour course that conquers the main scenic spots.
