The Omiya Bonsai Village, one of Japan’s leading bonsai villages, was established in 1925, when gardeners and bonsai masters who were affected by the Great Kanto Earthquake evacuated here.

At its peak, there were about 30 bonsai gardens, and even today it is known as a mecca for bonsai.

At the world’s first public “Omiya Bonsai Art Museum”, which has been built to disseminate the culture of bonsai widely both domestically and internationally, you can observe a collection gallery and a bonsai garden.
