Kamaishi Daikannon
At the tip of the Kamasaki Peninsula, there is a large white Kannon statue that watches over Kamaishi Bay. This was built in 1970 by the idea of the priest of Mt. Mt. Ishiozenji. The height is 48.5m, and inside there is a hall of worship, a room for enshrining thirty-three Kannon, and a tour of the Seven Lucky Gods. Furthermore, above the fish held in the chest is an observatory 120m above sea level. From here you can see the panorama of Kamaishi Port and the Pacific Ocean.
