Shukkeien
The daimyo garden “Shukkeien” was built by Nagaaki Asano, the first feudal lord of the Hiroshima feudal clan, as a villa garden in the early Edo period.
It is said to have been made in imitation of China’s “Seiko,” (which is a world heritage site).
A pond-style garden with islands, valleys, bridges, tea rooms, etc. A pond is put in the center, creating a lush greenery atmosphere.
Take a stroll through the historic garden savoring the scenery of each season, such as cherry blossoms in spring, water lilies in summer, and autumn leaves in autumn.
