Chusonji Temple
It was founded in 850 by Jikaku Daishi Ennin of Enryakuji Temple on Mt. Most of the buildings were destroyed by fire in the 14th century, but more than 3,000 pieces of Heian art still remain. It is designated as a national treasure and important cultural property. The Konjikido is the only building that still retains its original appearance, and the interior and exterior of the hall are decorated with gold leaf.
