Mt. Yoshino, where 30,000 cherry blossoms bloom in April, is a must-go cherry blossom spot if visiting Nara in spring. In other seasons, this mountain is enjoyable for hiking as well.

Mt. Yoshino is originally a sacred place for Shugendo. Kinpusenji and other Shugendo temples, Yoshimizu Shrine, which is closely related to Emperor Godaigo and Minamoto no Yoshitsune, and Katte Shrine, which has the history of the legend of Shizugozen, are also scattered around this mountain.
